Happy Animal Shelter Salesforce Org Synopsis
The animal adoption and fostering org aims to find suitable homes for animals, particularly those trained for special needs such as guide, mobility support, hearing seizure/allergen/blood sugar alert, PTSD, and emotional support.
Process Overview
- Application Submission: Potential adopters or fosters submit a form on an Experience Cloud site, creating an Adopter Profile. Upon approval, an Adoption record is created to start the matching process.
- Evaluation and Matching: The team evaluates applicants and matches them with a suitable animal. Adopters with special needs and foster applicants undergo a detailed evaluation before being paired with an animal.
- Trial Period: The matched animal is placed with the adopter or foster for a trial period.
- If successful, the adopter keeps the animal permanently, while the foster returns the animal after a set period.
- If unsuccessful, a new animal is matched with the potential adopter or foster, and the evaluation process continues until a good match is found.
Key Features and functionalities
The Happy Animal Shelter Salesforce Demo Org features a user-friendly screen flow for animal selection, auto-launched flows that map Adopter Profiles to Adoption records, update animal statuses throughout the adoption process, and create Movement records when an animal is adopted or fostered. Validation rules ensure records are submitted for approval before advancing stages. Formula fields calculate and display animal ages and profile start dates, while cross-object formulas display Adopter Profile Names on related records. The data model includes complex relationships between key objects such as Contact, Account, Adoption, Animal, Adopter Profile, Movement, Animal Action, Medicine, and Condition.
